What's the general pattern of weather in Auckland in October?

Mixed! There'll be heavy rain, there'll be very warm days in the low 20's. Bring layers & a waterproof

the weather patterns keep changing at the moment - I for one feel the cold so wear a thermal and coat most of the year in auckland except for summer from dec-march. Lots of strong gales, and quite stormy and very rainy, last summer was nice but a lot of wind, varies a lot - the band "crowded house" wrote a song about auckland "always take the weather with you"

No fixed pattern. Varies from year to year and day to day. Come prepared for all seasons.

It wont be too cold, maybe a little nippy if the wind gets up.
When the sun comes out though it will be pleasant enough for to enjoy a coffee on the deck.
