Hiya,

Yep, am happy with the Quals result, now it has been explained to me.... so thats the guaranteed extra 15points sorted.

Had the medicals last thursday, have to wait till 24th for results. Doc gone on holiday. Typical. Oh yes expensive. a few £'s short of £800.00 for the 2 of us. We had to have the extra blood tests as BMI / Tape measure more than limit. The weight is coming off, but very slowly.

got police certificates next on "todo" list. Trying to sort out who can countersign our photos locally.

Hope to send off paperwork towards end of october. bet the time still goes by too fast.

I would like to pose a Question / Observation to other readers.
Anyone else get subtle "Hints" or Co-incidences about NZ when going about the daily routines? as if there is something is acting / influencing the outcome as NZ is where you should be....

Been happening to the both of us for months, just curious if it happens to anyone else, or perhaps I am just loosing the Plot

Ian.

Yes Yes, things are going in a very odd fashion.

In fact his week when i heard that Terry Wogan was leaving BBC radio 2 and Chris Evans was taking over i thought bugger - i like a bit of Chris in the evening when im cooking tea.
Then i realised that by january (all being well) we will be on the other side of the world and he will be on at our t-time anyway - RESULT
I am aware i will have top do it via the WWW but thats what i have my OH for

Ok so i may be grasping at straws but thats all the convincing i need

So - tape measure no big enough eh! thats cut backs for you - they dont make em like they used to.
I'm glad all went well apart from that, its a daunting task.
We didnt know No2 son had a heart murmur till we went for ours Typical
We found the police checks easier to get countersigned than getting the Qualification certificate signed. £25 for that one - kerching

Hi there, sorry to jump in, but you mentioned about your son having a murmur, thatss what happened to our son, who is 14, we had to pay an extra 500 quid on top of the medicals for him because we had to go private, seeing as though we might have had to wait ages on the nhs! we saw the heart specialist to get clearance for our medicals and he saw the consultant for a whole 2 mins!!!! and he said there was nothing wrong with his heart!!!!
well at least I know hes fit and healthy!!!!

so frustrating and wasted time and money!! apologises for my moan......

Hi tturner
i didnt actually believe the medical assessor who just happened to be a 'cardiac specialist' at the time. I have to be honest, as he said this is what i can hear and i think you should go there to get him checked cos i cant do it 'got to stay impartial' - i thought it was a bit of a money making scam - i rub your back so to speak.
We went to gp to get the referral - he couldnt hear anything and didnt want to refer us on to the consultant - when we explained why, and that we had private insurance, he said ok then and charged £15 to fill the form in which he then took a full 2 weeks doing!!
The specialist was really good. did an ecg and a full sonic scan (like pregnant ladies have) to see how the blood was pumping round. Turns out he has a very thin wall between the chambers of his heart - which is assures me is fine and shouldnt make any difference to the performance of the heart - and the murmur is a soft murmur which lots of children have and never know about it.
Still waiting to see if NZIS agree with that or want more tests doing!! kerching
Glad your son is ok. it can be a terribly worrying time. i had lots of different emotions in the 2 weeks it took getting him in to the consultant.
How are you getting on with things now - got a moving date yet?
