This link will tell you at what age you'll be eligible for your UK State pension https://www.gov.uk/state-pension-age/y/age
As to how much you'll get, you'll need 35 years of NI contributions to receive the full pension, if you have less the amount will be pro-rata.
As others have said, if you were contracted out at any period you won't get the full amount even if you do have 35 years of contributions.

Other ways to apply
Applying online is the quickest way to get a forecast. If you’ll reach your State Pension age in more than 30 days you can also:- fill in the BR19 application form and send it by post
- call the Future Pension Centre who will post the forecast to you

so hi everyone, i'm just that wee bit short of retirement, (63yrs6months), left the UK in 2005, working in the uk since i was 16, 29 years.......i'll be going for the NZ super, 65 retirement for me please.
questions.......
if i apply for NZ super, do they kown i;ve come from the UK/do they even care?
with the changes over there do i have to top up my NI contributions?
A lot of my years in the UK were self employed, from memory we self emlopyed peeps paid a different type of NI - does that make a difference to anything?
and lastly, assuming i've not got enough NO contributions and i got for the NZ super, does that mean i get less NZ super
thanks guys for your help

What credits you have towards the UK state pension by way of NI contributions does not impact on NZ superannuation. NZ superannuation is dependant on how long you have been here , ( at least 10 years since the age of 20) and how many of those years under and over 50 which needs to be at least 5.
You will get a full NZ super.
Once your UK state pension kicks in , then you apply and give that to NZ. It will not be a fully UK state pension. It will be a proportion
