The way I see it, they've put their confidence in me (at least for now) and I owe them a couple of months to see how it goes - plus I'm on a decent salary it would be hard to move to another "permanent" job without a $15-20k drop in the current market.

Normally, the redundancy compensation increases with every year in job, hence the less experienced employees are the first to get redundant.

Blimey, I heard a few more people laid off today.
Certainly I didn't vote for him.
I miss Helen Clark! But she's gone, I have no idea if labour has another obvious good candidate for Prime Minister at the moment. So Key may be with up for two terms at least.
Unless they really DO f**k up!
This country has been much better governed than many others by Labour, so is in a good state now. Key's lot will have to work really hard to f@ck it up.
See if this govt lasts...
