There are a few other independent/posh burger places around the South Island although not sure about Christchurch. In Dunedin there is Velvet burger (2 stores) and the just opened Angus Burgh, and the grandaddy of them all of course is Fergburger in Queenstown, which is fabulous.

Well burger fuel have suffered a bit since their IPO. One of the most brilliant IPOs I’ve seen because they sold to the clueless public rather than people who might know things about companies and investing (by "brilliant" of course I mean "immoral"). 81 cents a share for a company that was and is completely propped up by sales and the value of its relatively illiquid shares has plummeted to 35 cents (current P/E ratio is about 550).

I tried to buy some things from them once and got told by the guy over the counter I was going to have to wait (after waiting in a line already) to be served. So I left and went somehwere else and have never been back. Moral of the Story: Customer Service innit?

Personally I prefer Domino's,,, I love classic supreme just with bbq sauce,, no no no tomato sauce. !

and they're about 3 times cheaper than the UK.

One of the few things that's considerably cheaper, lovely jubbly.
