Default Korean airlines????????????

Hi there
we're looking into organising our first trip back to the UK and have been quoted a good fare ($7100 for 4) in Sept 08 flying with Korean airlines -anyone got any experience travelling with these guys? Is there a reason the deal is so good, cheapest found to date was $8300
Cheers
Vicki

They have a poor safety record, and not the most modern of fleets. With longhaul flights its generally worth remembering the phrase "you get what you pay for......"

thanks for that - I guess the lack of response means that no-one has too much hands on experience of these guys

No. we came over with them and we had no problems whatsoever. Do a search as there is a thread on this!

Hi Vicki,
We have booked with them to come over to New Zealand in March.
Have read mixed reports. There website sites states that they have won an award for the best economy flights.
Keeping fingers crossed.

Regards
Karen

just returned last thursday from nz on korean air(also flew out 3 weeks prior on them)and had no problem with them.london-incheon/inch-lon was on a 747 and the korea/nz bits were on the next version down, forget the numbers but the only difference was the 747 had tv in each seat with a great selection of movies, radio etc.we also had an overnight in korea on the way back and were put up in the hyatt regency beside the airport with a breakfast included. i have been to nz 3 times and oz 3 times on a variety of airlines like emirates, airnz and qantas and koreanair got me there just the same.

I've flown Korean Air several times. They are just like any other airline...especially in economy.

I'd be a bit wary about flying China Airlines, though.

Boeing 777 from Incheon to Auckland - Don't worry, Its a modern aircraft - whoever said they dont have modern aircraft is talking out of their APU (rear end)

I oversee the aircraft movements every day at auckland and Korean are generally on time and no problems (apart from a passenger last week who had a suspected contageous disease , and the aircraft and occupants were quaranteened.............it turned out to be nothing serious)

Im considering them whenever I go back to blighty - maybe christmas next year......
