Well surely if it gets damaged after you load it on the plane you will be repairing/replacing it in NZ, not in the UK....

Ok. So, are you saying the NZ replacement price will be different other than in exchange rate?

I am still struggling to find cover. Need it to be over £2k and I Clyde a bike. Can't find any flight insurance at all.

Help?!

You could try www.cycleguard.co.uk Gloverhowe.co.uk is an insurance broker recommended on Lonelyplanet for covering expensive items.

I have tried EVERYTHING including cycle guard. no one will cover a bike ona one way trip

How did the bike do on the trip?
I took mine to Christchurch in February as my only luggage, a soft bag with a rigid base and all was well. Only there for a week of interviews so just a few rides but those mountains are great
