looks like we are a shallow lot - all we care about is hours of sunshine............
and Whakatane has just been pipped by sunny (or is it sunnier? allegedly.....) Blenheim.
Please Miss can I cast multiple votes???

Tauranga - Bay of Plenty

My 2 children, 1 grandaughter and 1 week old grandson live there - and we are hoping to emigrate there ourselves.

We have visited our daughter & family 3 times now and they live in Papamoa. We toured the North & South Island while we were there. Not everywhere I have to admit but if we could afford it we would like to live in Mt Maunganui & Papamoa area.

Chose our favourite part of NZ when travelling here 8 years ago and still hasn't altered. To be honest not really convinced I could travel all this way and not live exactly where I wanted to, would be a bit of a waste.

I also voted Nelson, but have always struggled to see how we would financially get by up there. There are relatively very few corporate roles in the area. If I won lotto then I might have to look at that decision again.

I am fine thanks. I have been here but not had anything to say. My hubby had a knee replacement 5 weeks ago and is expecting to have the other one done June/July so then we will be booking our flights to NZ for another visit.

Then I will have lots to say

That I understand but we just settled on a lower paid job in return for living where we wanted. Horses for courses I suppose. Do like Dunedin though city has a good feel about it although we havn't be there during term time
