Re: How long......
we were told anywhere between 10 and 12 depending on how long customs keep hold of it. now that we only taking part container who knows but not bothered really as will have to replace stuff we sold when we get there anyway

Re: How long......
We were told 10 but it took 7 I think. A lot depends on logistics and where it stops en route I suppose.

Hi,
We were told 6-8 weeks and thats pretty much what it took.
From memory, I think we were given an arrival date.

Re: How long......
We would have quite happily paid the extra for our own container if we had known it would take this long. So overall we have been 15 weeks without our belongings.

Re: How long......
We sold all our furniture before we left the UK so we could replace it all here but its the necessities like kettle, cups, cutlery, plates, dishes, bakeware, saucepans, hoover, microwave, bed, bedding, tin opener, bottle opener.... the list goes on. All this we had to duplicate whilst waiting for our shared container to arrive. Looks like I'll be selling on trade-me in the not too distant future!!

Re: How long......
We were told 6 weeks from the point it left the UK port and our container arrived in just that, 6 weeks. It sat at the UK port for 10 days or so until we gave the go ahead for it it to leave as my husband left for NZ two months before me. We used Curtiss in Portsmouth.
When you have your bill of lading number, you will be able to track the container.
