Hi from Ayrshire
Hi there,
They say every journey starts with a single step. Well, this is mine .
My name is Garry (37) , wife Christine (40) . We been chucking the idea (of moving to NZ) about for a few months now and came across this fountain of knowledge.
We both work for the Ambulance Service and are planning to continue this career in NZ although I have read it aint that easy ...... Thats the plan anyhow .
We both have other skills that we could fall back on , but thats a last resort .
Its been good to read some of your stories , good and bad .
Just seems a bit daunting at the moment
Cheers

Hi Garry, Garry here!!!! Always good to hear a Scotsman...I'm from Tayport (Fife).
We came out here in July 2007 with very minimal planning. I got offered a job in the hospital and found it very hard to refuse......9 weeks later we were in NZ....best move I've made.
We found the move very easy, and I think with the skills you have, you should be in the same boat. Make contact with St Johns abulance service direct, I don't really think you need to use an agent.
Anyway all the best with your plans...let me know how things progress and we hope to see you here soon.
All the Best!!
