Hi
We currently live in Scotland and are looking into moving over to the BOP (Tauranga) Hubby Mikey is a joiner and been emailing companies to get feel for what kind of work is out there if anyone can advise that would be great. We are both 35 and have 2 kids 8 & 14 so any advice on schooling would be appreciated too. Have load of questions hope you all dont mind x

Hi, welcome to BE.
We've been in Tauranga just coming up to 3 years and have 4 kids now aged 7, 11, 14 and 17. Any idea where in Tauranga you want to be as it's a pretty big place?! Any area specific questions ask away in the main NZ forum.

Hi
Open to options to where about in Tauranga hopefully hubby will pick up work there. Any ideas on schools ans can you recommend any areas with good schools ? Did your kids setle in ok ? Mum and dad live in Whakatane they emigrated 7yrs ago but too small for us, when we were there there was not alot for teenagers to do.
I take it it is worth while to bring out all our own stuff, been checking out the prices of stuff and quiet expensive. Also been on supermarket websiite trying to price up cost of living, gain wee bit more expensive than uk.

Hi there, we (hubby and 1 yearold son) are moving from Prestwick to Christchurch next week. Hubby is a joiner too, hoping to pick up work when he gets there - I'll let you know how he gets on.
