Not sure whether anyone be able to help but worth a shot
My OH HGV medical is due in Oct, we had thought it would be good to have it done here (we leave for NZ in 3 weeks ) before we leave ? but I was wondering will he just have to have it re done when we arrive there so are we better to wait ?

Yes he will have to have a new medical when he changes his license to a kiwi one. had mine last week. been here near two years and still driving on uk one So dont waste $$$$

Hi when i arrived here i changed my U.K class one into a N.Z class five you will need a medical when you do this i done it about four months ago and it was only $45 you can drive on your uk one but most companies prefer you to change it for insurance purposes and if you need to add endorsements to it

You can use the medical you have done for your work permit/visa, when you convert your licence as long as its not out of date.
