I'm currently ploughing through the online EOI application, and am struggling to understand the definition of one of the Identified Future Growth areas.

'Information Communications Technology' - what type of work does this include?

I've worked in project management for the past 8 years, on a wide variety of IT projects, but none of them specifically communications. Does it literally mean comms as in phones / data transmission? Can anyone shed any light on this?

For "ICT" just read "IT"....they're interchangeable even in the UK - usually government documents use ICT rather than IT - call it convergence?
