Hello from Herts
Hello, this is just to say thanks everyone for the useful info on this site that I've been absorbing anonymously so far, and introduce myself. I had a couple of interviews in Wellington while I was over last month, and was lucky enough to get a job offer, so I've just submitted my EoI. The wheels are beginning to turn...

Re: Hello from Herts
Hi Jerry, best of luck with your plans.
In answer to your question, I work in IT. My approach was to keep an eye on the job adverts on www.seek.co.nz and when I saw an agent specialising in my particular skills, I sent in a CV and suggested a phone interview. Probably what really counted in my favour was the fact that I was willing to fly out at short notice for face to face interviews, so they knew I was genuinely keen.
