You had room to put your bag in your case?

Be careful, carolineshewan
Double check.

We've done it all ways - some times we had no problems with extra hand luggage but I think that was down to the check in staff.
Business class flying east = 30 Kgs hold baggage and 13 kgs cabin (2 pieces) Even though all flights were booked at same time through to Wellie, on all but 2 instances, we we're charged excess baggage at $7 p.kg. and told only one piece of hand baggage. It still worked out cheaper than paying Business class on the domestic leg but only just. What really miffed us were the regulars who boarded with large weekend cases and the big pilot type laptop cases. They never went near scales or check-in desks, using self-service check in instead.
Regards handbags- no-one separates me from mine.
I strap it round my waist and if anyone asks - it's a money belt cum truss!

If i am paying for 46 kilos and that what it says on the tin thats what im getting lol and if air nz say i can take my handbag as personal then thats what i will do. but yea anyway i will have room to squeeze my bag in for the last leg as my hand luggage is full of wee snacks for my daughter and also her milk bottles which i have bought throw away ones so after each milk they will be binned plus i will chuck my book and mags away once done to clear space , so i will empty my hand bag in there and then squeeze empty bag in case, as my case holds 30 kilo comfortably there will be room as only allowed 23 kilo in

think i may even print of the page that says im allowed anyway then they cant say a thing
