Hairdressers
Does anyone know of any good hairdressers in Auckland? Preferably north of the bridge and UK trained 
I had my hair cut once here and she nearly scalped me so I won't be going back there! Cut waaay too much off.
Anyway, if it's a decent hairdresser I don't mind paying loads for the piece of mind and will guarantee return business

Hey Michelle - don't discount the Chinese hairdressers 
I had the most wonderful experience recently (and a great cut) for $60 in the Viaduct. It took about 90 mins and included neck and shoulder massage as soon as I got in, you lie down to get your hair washed (so no horrible pain in your neck) and have a head massage as well and then during the cut there's a little tv in front of your chair with (I think) Animal Planet running. It was marvellous

IIRC isn't there a Tony & Guy in Auckland, its the hairdressing version of MacDonalds, but I got my hair cut in one in Sydney and they did a better job than some of the local places I'd gone!!!
