Hi all,

Just found these pictures of the house we bought in Invercargill and are currently doing up the interior.

Who says the sun never shines here ?

Here's a couple of mine, they are: the library on Great Barrier Island, sunset in Bay of Islands and the view from our old house. But maybe not in that order!

These are at Mount Cook. The bridges are a walk towards it. Most bridges we saw all had hinged anchors. Maybe for eartquakes? Some of the shots have the kids on them so you can see the scale of things. You could hear the galcier on the montain crack at times but we did not see any ice fall, we missed it.

Good idea. Test the bridges before crossing by getting the kids to do it first :D

Wahoo, I did it, now here's some more!

The 1st is Butchers Pool, a natural thermal pool near Taupo, next is Castle Point followed by Eastbourne, the jet boat at Huka Falls in Taupo and finally the view from the ski lifts at Mount Ruapehu.

Winnie thanks so much for that shot of Gravity Canyon. My husband & then 11 year old did the Flying Fox last year ( I got to babaysit at the bottom with video camera in hand!!) and they both said the view from up top was amazing :)

That was amazing. It was a natural thermal pool in the middle of a field, some bloke (Mr Butcher?) put the surrounding wood around it with steps for the public to use. Very quiet too as its quite hard to find, we noticed it in the 'living planet' and being free just had to find it. Stinks of sulpher but is lovely and hot with bubbles springing from the bottom (or were they from my OH's bottom?!!!! ). Would recommend anyone to visit if you're in the Taupo region.

You're welcome. The views were amazing, have lots more pics of that and the surrounding area. I can't believe you didn't go on it, its a fantastic ride, just didn't last long enough. My OH did the bungy but I couldn't pluck up the courage, maybe next time?
