Does anyone know of a nice bathroom supplier North or South island? We are renovating a bathroom (well a builder is ) and we would like to incorporate some modern ideas - like a glass vessel sink. Am struggling to find anything other than plastic vanity units or white pottery sinks.

I went into Kohler in Auckland but left very quickly when I saw $2000 for a sink

I can find nice stuff online but it tends to be overseas and I am worried aout delivery times.

I've spoken with Mr BEVS who says he'll go in & check it out with the trade counters. He's never actually fitted one of those since being here in NZ ( surprised) and as you know he works on new builds of all sorts, shapes and sizes a good deal of the time.

As an aside, the last time I saw one of those was up in Middle Temple Hall, London when Mr BEV'S lovely dad posthumously received a Ross McWhirter award . He'd only been lost to us a few months. I can distinctly remember washing my hands & watching the water disappearing from the frosted glass bowl and thinking that life is so like that. So precious and then it is gone.

Have a look at Spaziacasa bathrooms (I think that's how you spell it).

spazziocassa, very nice stuff but very over priced, they always claim everything
is imported from Italy as kiwis think that's exotic. Half the stuff isnt Italian but is still VERY over priced

They were done by the Commerce Commission for this very practice of misleading customers over the origin of their products; so perhaps they may be a bit more honest these days.

There is a shop in ChCh but they are not selling what I am looking for - and yes they are over priced.

Have narrowed it down to online shopping from Aus with 8 days delivery Also have asked our builder for suppliers - and whether he has actually ever fit one of those vessel sinks

from memory placemakers on cranford street could get them. We decided against it due to the pain in the bum they are to keep clean!

There is also a new bathrooms place on cranford street beside Robbies, never been in but you never know.
