2 random questions :RE New zealand ....possible move
strange questions from darling daughter ??
ok we are not sure where we stand with our move but these are 2 questions that i am constantly being asked ...hope someone can help ?
1, is there an equivalant product to Quorn for vegetarians ? or is Quorn available ?
are there any R.A.D royal academy of dance ( ballet schools ) in the surrounding areas of Christchurch or in Christchurch ? she also does some higher lvl ballet coaching, but cannot think of the name of it right now
sorry for the random questions ...am hoping someone can relieve my daughters questions ....
thank you x

I have seen Quorn and quorn meals in the English food shops over here. Havent seen it in the supermarkets but then havent really looked. If you are a pescatarian the fish is superb. There is always a wide variety of fresh fruit and veg and as long as you stick to the seasons you shouldn't need a bank loan.

As vegetarians seem to constantly try to replicate meat products such as burgers and bacon. You can reassure her that there is a plentiful supply of quorn type replacements in New Zealand.
She can go and shoot it herself if she likes!

Not sure about quorn but there are lots of vegetarian products and meals available in the supermarkets.
Be aware that most fruit, vegetables etc are seasonal here in nz so that may effect meal options

I'm vegan myself so never ate Quorn in the UK but there are Bean Supreme sausages (blech) and burgers (quite yummy). Another brand is Veggie Delights and they do 'bacon' and hot dogs and 'fillets'.
Tofu is really easy to come by and the Asian grocers (which are plentiful in Wellington, not sure on Christchurch) have stupid amounts of cheap fake meat stuffs.
Fry's brand stuff is reasonably common in supermarkets, but it is pricey (~$10 a pack of sausages or burgers or whatever).
In fact most pre-prepped stuff is expensive, but not sure what the price of these things are in the UK.
Linda McCartney products are getting to be a bit more available - my local supermarket has even started stocking them.
I don't buy pre-prepped stuff that often, honest not that you'd know from my post - I just like to keep an eye out!
