Gobsmacked of Rotorua
Is it usual for someone to simply walk onto your front garden and take a selection of heads from a lavender plant? They parked the car opposite and then drove off.

The crime has reached a dramatic conclusion. I built a small wooden frame this morning and placed it at the crime scene with a few short words. Five hours later a lady called at the house to confess.

Hehe.
We used to have an old Maori lady who'd come into our front garden harvesting puha. Or weeds as we called it.
Apparently she was over 100 years old. We just left her to it!

This reminds me of a geography teacher in the early 80's. She set up the Rainford High Horticultural Society (RHHS for short. She liked this because it was similar to the RHS at Wisley!!!) when the new VI form block was built at the school. She encouraged us to 'take' any nice flowers we saw in gardens if we went for a walk into the village at lunchtime . She wanted them to decorate the tables in our common room .
