Hi shippy,
My first bit of advice is that you need to acquaint yourself with the steps you will need to take to immigrate here to New Zealand. For an overview take a look at http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Catego...nd_Immigration. This wiki gives a good summary of the steps you will need to follow. There is a bit of jargon but it isn't that hard to pick up.
My second bit of advice is that you should probably get your CV into shape. You should also take time to research which companies in New Zealand are involved in your particular form of work. The Yellow Pages and trade journals may be of help. Call up the companies and start networking. You never know, you may get a job lead at best or someone may point you in the right direction. You may also want to take a squiz at www.seek.co.nz. This is one of New Zealand's largest job websites.
That's for a start.
Good luck.
