Well , it's not the first time dodgy stuff has happened I suppose.

With little information I'm not sure what to think.

SMC requires the wage to be in or around the going rate for that skilled occupation.

An accredited employer pays to be able employ overseas labour.

A WTR visa with an accredited employer requires a set level of wage for the applicant to be able to apply for RFW. That's also reflective of the going rate.

Is the employer deliberately underpaying it's employees then?

The job she is doing is just an admin role- not a skilled job. She has exaggerated her role on the application. She gets paid the normal amount for the job she is doing- around $40k. I don't really understand why our employer is going to such lengths to keep her.

But what has this got to do with you, Its REALLY non of your business is it??
We all jumped hoops to get here but that doesn't give us the right to stick our
noses in to other peoples affairs. Do you have a point to prove because you
got residency, does residency make us so self righteous that we now think it's
up to us to gate keep?....I certainly don't.
How about all the people who come here as a back door in to Australia, what's the difference?
Leave the girl to get on with her own shit, she's doing what she feels is necessary to get what she wants.

OK then, in your world you've got no right to criticise the OP for anything. Cause it's none of your business and what right have you got to question the reasons you ASSUME that the OP has for asking the question.

Also using a NZ passport as a way into Aus is a legal method nothing illegal about that, unlike forging documents.

PR is for people who can make the criteria and so is WTR.

I know its none of my business, and I have already said I do not intend to do anything about it. I was simply wondering what other people might think of the situation- hence my post. At the end of the day, we all do what we feel is right for ourselves, but breaking the law is a step too far in my opinion.

Then report it.

No-one else here can possible give an opinion based on just this thread. There is this other unknown person and then employer +NZIS.

Is that what this is all about? Should you report it?

I think justcol has a point - which is kind of why I suggested that someone may be testing your loyalties.... you may not think it fair, but really it has nothing to do with you and I say again to leave them their own rope and if it's meant to be they'll hang themselves. There may be other factors that you are not aware of that have created a situation for some "fiddling" to go on...?

Goodness,I have already said I have no intention of reporting it! I also don't think anyone is trying to test my loyalties- why on earth would they, doesn't make sense to me. As this is a discussion forum, I was genuinely interested in other peoples opinions.

I'll say it again one last time- I know its not my business and I will NOT be reporting it! Will end it there.

I think it is everyone's duty to report fraud or any other crime where they are aware of it. Why should some people play by the rules while others don't? Are they better than the rest of us?
