LOL If there are any French restaurants nearby they'll be sold in no time!! Under what name do they sell snails in NZ? Eggs no doubt. ( they don't have any snail labels and the only other thing that comes in shells is.....er..)

Have worked in the catering industry in the UK and I honestly was "very suprised" at some of the stuff they made me do. I for instance used to take the meat out of week old sandwiches and mince up for the filling of next weeks pies .... and cream cakes were brought in and if the cream was stale we were told to scrape out and freshen up

You'd be surprised what happens behind the scenes even in the UK

We used to soak "Gone off" bacon joints in vinegar and then put them back on sale!!
