Everyone wants our money!

Re: Everyone wants our money!
You shouldn't send your kids to such posh schools. My mum runs a decile 1 school - no voluntary fees and stationery all provided.

That school's hav'n a laugh! If you daughter starts in september then it works out at $40 per month therefore a maximum of $150. As others have said, $150 is commonly an annual amount.

I am not sending my child to a posh school I am renting a mouldy old 2 bedroomed shed which happens to be in a nice area. I have taken her into the school which is nearest to us. It is still nearly half a mile away. I have no transport so we will be walking so its the nearest school or nothing.

your child is only 4/5 legally you don't have to send them to school at 5 and as you are going back to the UK I personally wouldn't send and spend the next few months having fun.

I agree with MrsF. Also, I just saw on your avatar that you live in Glendowie. Very, very, very expensive place to be. You need to be bringing home 100s of thousands a year to live there comfortably.

It was the cheapest place we could find to rent that was in an ok condition. Hubby has asthma and so we needed to find the least damp place. The rent is really cheap. It's close to his work too.

I am still getting messed around with my job. Heard from them last week to say they would be back in touch with a start date but nothing! I'm actively looking again.

as already pointed out it is Voluntary so don't pay it or let them bully you into paying. Piano lessons is not part of the required curriculum so tell them to ask those parents to pay for it.
I pay for my daughters piano lessons and do not pay school fees. Pay enough for all the odds and sods they continue to ask for through out the terms so not paying that as well
