Earthquake!!!
Quake felt from Blenheim to Taranaki
New 8:00AM Monday Sep 15, 2008
An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale has been widely felt from Blenheim and as far north as Taranaki.
The quake struck at 9.25pm last night about 60km south-west of Wanganui.
Over 880 people had reported the quake this morning which had a focal depth of 90km.

Yep, we felt it in Waverley, my first experience of a 'quake
To me it felt and sounded like a heavy truck rumbling past my front door
I wonder if the china fell off the shelves in Farmers in Wanganui .... if you live there you'll know what I mean !

it was 3.3 near wellington depth 30 km, not bad rumble pretty small have been through a 5.8 here now that was a shake.
