Re: Cup of Tea
From a mug (but I secretly hanker after drinking it from a teacup with a saucer, like we used to as kids - gives you somewhere to put your bikkie ).
I think the habit of leaving a bit at the bottom comes from pre-teabag times when, even after using a tea strainer, you were quite likely to end up with some leaves at the bottom of the cup. Can well remember often forgetting and draining the lot and then having to deal with a mouthful of vegetation

Really? I rinse and reuse cups. If you don’t like cold tea get one of those tea warmer pads for your desk, I love mine .

Tea stays warmer in a china mug it goes cold very quick in pot. Would anyone like to know why you put the milk in first?

Re: Cup of Tea
Its because if you don't put the milk in first the hot tea will crack the china cup.

Re: Cup of Tea
Love tea made properly in a pot - with a teacosy to keep it warm. My preference is tea then add a spot of milk but at home parents always milk then the tea! also like darjeeling but husband preferes earl grey which we have found here struggling to find any darjeeling at the moment which we drink on those rare lazy days when we have time to enjoy!

I never had Wedgewood tea before, just tried it for the first time and darjeeling first. well.. it was SOOOO light. don't think I would drink it anyway. probably gonna dump it a few months later ...pretty sure...

I can't stand coffee. I drink lots of tea.
I use the same mug, milk first and always leave a bit in the bottom as it's cold by the time I get to the end.
My mug still stains even if I put the milk in first
