Re: Conquer Cancer
A quick update on our quest to raise funds for Conquer Cancer. I have received an amazing $4,200 to date and the team (Team Jasmine Faith) has raised just under $10K! Thank you all so much for the donations and kind words of support.

Re: Conquer Cancer
Thank you all.
What a fantastic weekend, it was very tough, a huge challenge for all concerned and was probably one of the hardest things I've ever done. Some of the hills were severe and although the weather was kind (no wind or rain) the sun did take it's toll.
However, Conquer Cancer and the Auckland Cancer Society should take a great amount of credit for organising such a well run event, as riders we wanted for nothing. The route was marshalled from start to finish and the initial 5km was completely closed off for riders only. We arrived at camp to find large tents housing restaurants, massage therapy sessions, yoga classes, a bar and a stage where we were entertained by live music. Food stations complete with toilets and bike mechanics were stationed every 20km and we could top our drinks up with the best hydration fluids.
It certainly was not a race and men and women of all ages and sizes took part.
It was quite humbling to see people of all ages currently fighting cancer and under various treatments struggling up those hills, all who set off came home!
But the most important thing was the funds raised. We still have six weeks to raise funds but as I write this I have raised just over $14K, my team (TEAM JASMINE FAITH) has raised over $34K and the event raised $2.1M!!
A big thank you to all those people who have donated and/or sent words of encouragement. I promised I would give it my all and I surely did.
If you haven't donated and would like to then please feel free to click on the link to my web page below, click the green "DONATE" button and follow the online instructions.
Thanks once again guys, very much appreciated.
