hi my husband is a computer breakfix engineer basically he fixes broken pcs and laptops for dell. we are loking to coming to nz and wondered if anyone knew what the job prospects would be like in this line of work and would he apply before we moved or look once we get there

This is what my husband does for a living aswell. He's a Senior Field Service Engineer with over 20 years experience but we are having great difficulty in finding jobs for him in either OZ or NZ. All the I.T jobs on both skills in demand lists seem to be more based around software ect..

Both of you's best options would be to talk to IT recruitment companies in the area you wish to reside. Most IT companies won't recruit you unless your in the country or have a skill they desperately require. Check out seek.co.nz, search for the job skills then contact the recruitment companies direct. It worked for me and others I know.
