Default Christchurch room required short term - can anyone help?

Hi

My husband will be travelling to Christchurch in June to start work as a Senior Project Architect. Myself and our three sons will follow in mid July to validate our visas, but it is likely we will return to the UK to continue with the sale of our house.

I am wondering if anyone may have considered renting a room out in their home on a short term basis that my husband could utilise? We have looked on Trademe etc, but I thought it would be worth asking the question on here.

He is a keen road cyclist, so will bring a racing bike with him. If this could take up a bit of room in your garage that would be great, if not, he won't bring it!

He is 44 and pretty well housetrained!

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Thanks

LL XX

A couple of years ago we stayed at a d.i.y. b&b in Christchurch, 'Rendezvous on Rattray' as it's on Rattray Street, Riccarton, Christchurch. Feel free to Google it. http://www.holidayhouses.co.nz/Riccarton.asp

Each guest room has an entitlement to use one of the garages attached to the b&b.
