Hasn't it been gorgeous?
The winter was long and nasty. The summer was a washout. But my oh my, autumn has been a gift! Its like the autumns of my childhood that never really happened!

Except there just aren't enough deciduous trees in NZ. I miss scuffing through crunchy autumn leaves *sigh*

The problem with scuffing through the leaves is 'dog bombs'!

Plenty of scrunchy leaves in Timaru too and gorgeous colours. Not so much in the North Island though.

Welly is the worst...I guess... Its awfully windy hence there just aren't many trees ...
I always do feel something is missing here... leafy trees are one of them! I love green/the autumn leaf colour and tree lined avenue....

Kapiti Coast- Paraparaumu to be more precise.
The summer here didn't really start till January. But since then its been great. I love the crisp clear mornings and then the warm days. Its true there are not enough leaves to make a full on autumn feel, but the brighter days more than make up for that.
Shame that the wind is going to turn on any day now!

Waikanae (Kapiti Coast) looks little nicer than Welly central. Its flat and there are some leafy lanes. (usually old area..otherwise there are no many trees..but nothing like England or Canada..) I prefer there actually..the weather is little warmer too. My Brit mate lives in Waikanae (commute into Welly everyday)and have a huge garden/section with lots of roses....

It's 12.50pm on Wednesday here in Wales and at this precise moment it's pelting down hailstones!
