Auckland Topography
Hi all,
I may have the chance to work at Auckland Airport. Do you know of any areas within 20miles radius that may be suitable for a family of 4.
My wife is a nurse and will be working and fancies a 'very manageable 'commute, I would also like to enrol our 2 daughters into an all girls High school.
We will be initally renting for 12 months and looking for a 4 bed house. We prefer semi rural rather than city, and do not mind using a ferry to work.
I know its a big ask , but one of you guys might be already living our dream.
Thank you

Re: Auckland Topography
That's a big shopping list!!
All girls schools tend to be in the Remuera/Epsom area (inner-eastern suburbs), the airport is southwest and out on a penninsula, sadly there are no ferries that service that part of the water. In order to get a rural commute to the airport you'll have to look out south - towards Pukekohe or west towards Titirangi, neither of which are a short drive from the girls schools - I think you may have to compromise on something. But at least you have a starting point on what you want and from which you can base your search.
Girls schools I know of and whose websites you'll be able to get info:
Epsom Girls Grammar
Auckland Girls Grammar
Baradene
St Cuthberts
Diocecsen, known as "Dio"
St Kents are a mixed private but girls and boys are streamed into separate learning classes.
Pukekohe is traditionally a farming area with gentle hills.
Titirangi is lush tropical rainforest in the hills.
good luck
