Default anyone used VOOVit?

Just trying to find a way to get some of our stuff over the other side of the world - 20ft container at 4k seems excessive for our stuff to be honest - might ship more out if succesful in getting PR but coming over on work visa to start with. Wondering if anyone has used VOOVit who seem v cheap!

just a curious thought, did you go through an agent for that price or did you go direct to the shipping company ??? We used Mediterranean Shipping when we went - a few years ago now. But by going directly to them we saved a heap. They were based in Felixstowe, but dont know where you are of course. Might be worth checking who is based at your nearest port for export..
Best wishes for your move

Hi,

I just got a quote from Anglo Pacific. They are quoting £3150 or thereabouts, cant find the quote letter atm. Thats for a 20ft container from Glasgow to Christchurch.

They seem to have some good reviews, so i like to hear that! Not sure about VOOVit, i havent heard anything about them. Is their quote much lower than anyone else???

Anyway, good luck

Hi Yummy - that seems a good deal is it including insurance etc?? Ours was with Brittania and was about 3800 til added on insurance. We are really trying to decide whether or not to ship our furniture over or just take some boxes of beloved things - thats where VOOVit come in - they dont do whole house removals - just boxes. Thanks for the info if decide to take everything at this stage will get them out for a quite. Yikes its all so comlicated isnt it!!

Try playing off one shipping company against another. White and Co , for instance, is a franchise. One depot will sometimes undercut another.

Shop around for the marine insurance.
