Hi at last had offer on house cash buyer, NZ here we come aiming at oct/nov time thinking of Papomoa in north island as been there all ready and have friends there, thinking of looking at Hawkes Bay area to and have heard a lot about Beechlands. We have two children Beniece 12yrs and has just finished yr7 and Joshua 8yrs just finished yr 2. We flew last time with air malaysia who were great, but thinking of Air new zealand via la or san francisco because of the luggage allowance 2 bags of 23kg per person.
If anyone can offer any advice on Napier and surrounding area and Beechlands would be great would like to be near water.
At last things are moving seems like your life is on hold.

Hi Paula,Air New Zealand were in the process of updating their fleet on that route,and as of Christmas,they hadnt.It was not how I wanted to spend 24 hours to be honest.Ring em and see. Napier/Hawkes Bay my missus loved,adored,schools looked well kept,hospital not far,but it was hot,we burned quickly and the place is reknowned for it.Huge long beach,it was lovely. Don'll be jealous.

Thanks for reply, def ring air new zealand before booking, if not will go with air malaysia again they were very good, Pan Pacific great hotel bonus you don't have to leave the airport look at there website K L mad glad we didn't stay in city. Napier is def worth a look before we decide where to settle. Where are you guys going to.

Given the current anxieties it might be worth looking at routes that avoid the US - I'm sure things will settle down but not sure how quickly or how far they'll change the hand luggage / security stuff.

we did airnz the first time via la and then malaysian the 2nd time via kuala lumpur - malaysian planes were better and we seemed to suffer less jetlag 2nd time round

We were going to Palmerston North,but decided we wanted to go to bed after 20.00,so we're going to Wellington because the hospital is big enough for my wife and I to work on different wards. Napier was 'unusual',beautiful,had its own 'Valentines' to get fatter in,but was a little too Cleethorpes,Southport,Margatish for us. Actually,I'm jealous,loved it,will be going for our hols.
