Re: Adverts
I do miss the BBC and the licence fee!!! No adverts
Ad breaks are too long, too frequent and too loud. They were nowhere near this bad in the UK, unless things have changed in the 1.5 years since I left.
My solution is to record on the DVD recorder HD, wait 30-60mins depending on the length of the programme/film and then start watching whilst it is still recording. That way I can forward through the ads.
Glad to see we all hate similar ads. Canon Pixma and that annoying talentless little kid and his equally annoying mother and as for Thin Lizzy with their ads that are longer than most films and the women don't look that much better after using the 6 in 1 makeup
Also the driving ads get on my nerves, they are way too long and so lose their impact too quickly. They need to be short and aim to shock, not bloody Robbie who has driving in his blood until his car is upside down in a field

I believe the truck at 4:10 actually suffered a massive steering failure (rather than driver error) and the guy thrown from the car during the police chase at 6:40 survived (despite not wearing a seat belt, going much too fast and being thrown from the vehicle in the crash). Not sure about the other real segments, more research needed.Sorry but normal life just isn’t usually as dramatic as TV would make out.

Re: Adverts
Obviously most of those where designed to shock drivers but of the real ones.

Yeah right, because it's sooooo different to the UK we have heaps of choice of activities to do after dark, when it's cold and piddling down with rain outside. Our local fish and chip shop doesn't even stay open after 7pm.
