Thanks guy's and girls

Re: Accomodation in Dunedin needed in 08
Hi there
Never having needed to rent for a week l'm probably not going to be much help, but....most houses/apartments for rent are usually rented for a minimum of 6-12 months (esp those near the centre of town as the polytec and Uni are both there). There are though a couple of holiday parks which rent everything from a tent pitch to chalet style places, in Dunedin there is a pretty good one on the sea front in St Clair called Dunedin Holiday Camp (l think) and as it'll be middle of summer it should(???!!!) be ok weather. I think the chalets cost around $20 pp/night.
If you're interested l'll try and find out a web address for them?

The 3 that come to mind are:
http://www.esplanade.co.nz/
http://www.centralchambers.co.nz/
http://www.heriotlane.com
The Esplanade is one I have heard good feedback on, it is right by the beach and probably only 5-6 min drive from the Octagon. Good cafes around there, an outdoor salt water pool and if you want to learn surfing thats your spot.
Most motels have larger family suites also. With Dunedin its always advisable to book reasonably in advance as it can fill up fast if there is graduation or some other event on in town (which seems to be most weekends).
