Halo thought it was the very weak pound that was the root cause and that it would not get much different for months. In the mean time house prices could go up here....
They were predicting, over the phone to me anyway, greater than NZ$:GPB 0.5 possibly even much more.
Hence our financial exit today. Bye bye UK.

We're in the same position as many coming to NZ or Oz. We have money to move from the UK to buy a house but don't know whether to do it now, or hang on. The differences in exchange rates if you get 2.2 or 2.5 is a lot of money, but what if house prices go up - anyone got a crystal ball?
