We are finally leaving after 10 years, and 2 kids later to go back home!!

Me and the kids leave in 10 days, my husband is staying behind to sort out a few last minute things and he follows us out 2 weeks later.

We are moving in with my sister, have already registered my daughter in school and will look for a nursery place for my son once we are there.

I've spoken to a recruitment agent (I'm an accountant) and he says the market in London while not great is certainly better than it was six months ago, so I'm hopeful I will find something.

Since I've made the decision and resigned from work I have been walking on air and am so happy to be going back. My family is very excited and I'm looking forward to free babysitters and attending family events. We have a wedding and a christening coming up.

I hope it all works out for us and I will update once we are back in London.

Thanks for listening to me over the last year from applying for US citizenship to moving back, this place has been invaluable for me.

Good luck, just take time to settle in, have a good look around at areas etc and try not to panic if everything does not happen yesterday lol....but most of all...enjoy being home and being with your extended family thats what matters the most. All the best
