Northallerton is a lovely place, I used to live in Harrogate, Hospital has a good reputation if your friend is planning to get in the family way
. I don't know Selby that well but if it's in Yorkshire it'll b' reight luv

Hi Julie
Wow that was quick, you didnt mess about did you? I am really pleased that you are all so much happier now and couldnt help but feel a pang of jealousy thinking about christmas in the UK. I'll make my 3 months this sunday and am still having ups and downs, more downs at the moment due to no job still, ever shrinking bank balance and seriously depressed 14 year old who I had to pull out of school a week ago and faces 2 months of sitting at home on her own throughout the whole summer. As I said to you before when you Pm'd me I really wnat to give it a go but its not easy. I've just got my RSA though and will be looking for bar work ,so if you any tips? I've never done it before!
Seriously have a wonderful xmas and well done for being brave enough to know what you want and act on it

We've met up with loads of our friends and they were so surprised to see us again. (And pleased hopefully
). I've been offered my job back at the pub and start again on Saturday night. Hubby already has a couple of interviews in the pipeline so we are keeping fingers crossed that he doesn't have to wait too long before he's back earning again. My eldest has been offered her part time job back again and my son has got an interview for a job. The only stumbling block is that my youngest daughter's place has been filled at her high school but we are hopeful that we can manage to get her in somehow. (She has just written a pleading letter to the head begging to be given her place back!). All their friends are so excited to have them home again.
We are staying with my parents which is a bit of a squeeze but it's no problem so far. (Hopefully we'll get our own house back in March. We're going out car hunting tomorrow, and went out today buying loads of winter clothes.
Anyway, will keep you posted on how things go here.

Had to reply to this as you sound pretty disillusioned (in this post and previous ones) with the whole thing.
I know it's so hard in the first few months to accept what you've done and try to deal with it all as best you can. Just keep your chin up o,k? There's a lot of people on this side of the forum you can talk to whenever you want...just holler and we'll be there to listen!

Agreed, Liver... Don't feel bad. I'm sorry you're having a tough time. You missing your family?
I met a lovely family from Liverpool on my lookout this morning. They'd been in Perth for 30 years, and the guy that runs my cattery is from the pool... He came over as a 10 pound pom... such a lovely bloke to chat to...
What I mean to say is, talk to us. Don't feel like you're on your own, cos you're not.

Got Courtney back into school
We are so happy she is back there again. We told the school we were going to appeal and they backed down. She starts after Christmas and must catch up on all her GCSE work by Feb half term otherwise she will have to repeat Yr 10. She'll do it
Mark has started work and is earning fab money for a 16 year old. He'll go back to college next September.
Kristy (17) has passed the first interview for a job she really wants. The second interview is on the 19th.
Hubby has had loads of interest for jobs that he's applied for but I've told him not to expect too much this side of Christmas.
I've got loads of shifts at the pub so that's a big help.
My parents have been great and have put themselves out to make room for us all.
Hopefully we'll be able to get back into our house by the beginning of March.
