waiting time for work visa
Can anyone answer this for me please? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere on line.
I need to know if I can "wait" in another country (Ireland, France, etc) during the processing time for a UK work visa or do I have to be in my country of citizenship? (US)
Thanks in advance!

Re: waiting time for work visa
You need to apply from your country of citizenship or where you are a legal resident. You’ll need to hand over your passport in order to receive your visa so unless you wish to fly back to the US (or you hold two passports) then travelling elsewhere is unlikely to be practical. If you mean a Tier 2 visa then the processing times are also usually pretty short.
