Room tempreture my arse. It either goes through a cooler or is drawn by hand pump from the cellar...which is also cooled. Its served at room temp...but then so is everything in every bar. Its STORED in chilled conditions. Therefore...its "chilled".

Go on ...ask me how I know?

A proper pub cellar should be chilled to +5C according to Whitbreads circa 1970 when my dad did his training.

oooh, you can't afford a premiership game.
If you skip one or two London priced meals you could afford a ticket. IMO if you have so little money that the ticket is out of reach, visiting London at all will drain you dry.

I thought that was so it could be recycled and sold off as Stones Bitter.

Yeah I agree with that. If you are on a budget then I would suggest avoiding Europe altogether with the current exchange rate.

And besides, non-Premiership matches aren't exactly cheap. A quick glance at the Charlton website tells me their next home match versus Colchester costs 20 quid a ticket. You can get into most Premiership grounds for about 30-35 pounds.

If you are looking for a proper lower league football experience then go for a ground that still has terraces. Brentford would be my recommendation.

This is a good thread we have going on the Arsenal American's supporters club message board about 'Other teams to see in London' if you can't get a ticket to the Arsenal. Might be some good stuff there.

And closer to the day you might be able to get a discounted ticket:

http://london.craigslist.co.uk/tix/

watch it though, London touts are in a league of their own. Pay in cash but only after you have the ticket in your hand and your hand's closed.

Unlikely ....nobody knew what centigrade was in the seventies...
in the UK

Temperature is now one of the key objectives for judging a good cask ale, along with appearance, aroma and taste. Cask ale should be served cool not warm ideally at cellar temperature 11°- 13°C (53° - 55°F).
