First confession: I'm an Essex girl and have never been to Surrey!

I am going over for a visit soon but as my daughter has just moved in with her boyfriend but I don't want to impose on them to stay as they don't have much room, I will stay in accommodation nearby.

Can anybody recommend a clean b&b or cheapish hotel (not the Travel Lodge in Tolworth though as it has terrible reviews on TripAdvisor) in that area?

Hi Cappuccino,

Try the Premier Inn (Epsom North). That's about a 5 mins drive from Tolworth or the 406 bus will take you into Tolworth if you don't have a car.

Also there is the Premier Inn or Holiday Inn at Chessington World of Adventures. They are both close to Tolworth.

The Nonsuch Park Hotel between Ewell and North Cheam is ok if you have a car as it's not on a direct bus route to Tolworth.

Chalk Lane Hotel in Epsom is good. By car, it's a 10-15 mins drive or again the 406 bus will take you between Epsom town centre and Tolworth.
