It got me thinking about smells i miss from England. The first one I thought of was the lovely smell of wet cut grass. Lets face it you dont see much grass in many parts of Aus let alone wet stuff!

Then I thought of tarmac when the road layers are putting a new surface down. For some reason the one and only time I have walked past it here, I didnt really smell of anything much and certainly not like the UK stuff.

What smell do you miss?

We just love our "winters" here in Perth more than the summers and when asked why our oldest son says because it reminds me of "home"...lovely dark nights....add the wind and rain and it's just bliss...........I enjoy the sun..like most people but to have it for months on end....as we do here in Perth.....it just wears a bit thin!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seasons of any kind, you just cannot beat it.

Oooh, and the smell of snow. Remember? When it snowed, everything went really quiet and still and when you went out in it it would smell clean and crisp. Or have I completely lost the plot now?
