So we packed everything up in a rough sort of order it would go in the container in the lounge ready to go. The driver was really nice and we managed to get it all in well under 2 hours with just me & my wife loading but we didn't have a full container (about 50%). He wasn't bothered as long as it didn't take longer than 3 hours so he could still fit his 2 day pick-up/deliveries in.

The container is 4' of the ground so you will need some sort of ramp, or enough people to have 1/2 people in the container and 1/2 people on the ground. I just used some 8x4 planks with some metal ramp slots which are only about $20. Some images attached to give you an idea.

Our container was actually a day late turning up due to a mix up from UPakWeShip which was nightmare, but luckily we had left an extra day and they refunded our extra moving van / parking permit. The container arrived in the UK within 3 weeks (actually beating me), so my family unloaded it within an hour, and again the driver was really helpful.

Thats brilliant info, thanks so much olliekav. I figured having some sort of staging area with everything ready to load would be the best option.

Get some straps as well as shown above, they literally just turn up with a container! If you have a bigger load it will help to strap things at certain points to avoid it shifting about, we had no breakages at all.
