Why don't you move up in the wilderness, you could do what this family do.

Both totally different from leaving the Commonwealth. Second, the is no such thing as an English parliament. The one which sits in Westminster was created in 1707, when the Act of Union was signed, therefore both Scottish and English representatives sit there, as well as Welsh and Irish(?). This parliament has taken money from Scotland, and still is, for the last 300 years. Many of your English institutions would not have been there, if a Scot hadn't founded them and many of the things you use everyday were invented by Scots. You should be thankful for the Scots, not berating them.

I am english but i am in favour of revoking the union as it was only brought together because of mutual distrust and if anything at the time it really only benefitted scotland because of being able to trade a lot easier with its bigger neighbour ,but i believe it has run its course now and the oil in the north sea should be given to scotland as its a major bone of contention by many scots .
The british isles is fracturing and i believe england ,scotland and wales should go there own way and then any blame can be put at the doorsteps of themselves .

Affordable housing is available - I've just sold my 2-bed semi (with conservatory and garage) for 128K, fully decorated, central heating system/gas fire/garage/kitchen/bathroom all replaced in the last 8 years. And that wasn't underpriced to get a sale, just the going rate in the area!

I still wish I could afford that and I wouldn't want to do the morning rush hour commute, East Lothian is nice though I have a lot of friends there and they spend ages in traffic in the morning and evening hmmmmm it's sometimes hard to weigh up the pros and cons.

Are you enjoying where you are now though out of interest?

oh!!!! a tad cheeky. Yes it is true the Scots are responsible for many major inventions e.g the telephone, TV, penicillin, fax machine and football (although we have not yet perfected that one!!!) England is not to blame for everyones problems, don't know why you think that?! I personally believe that the media have alot to answer for as they always exaggerate the problems in the UK and make alot of things completely negative?!
