Default Removals back to the uk

Can anyone recommend a removal company to take things back to the UK?

We used Doree Bonner & Grace International to get out here and found them to be great but we’ve had them out give us a quote to return our things back home and the quote was $7306 and when I asked if we were eligible for a discount - as we’d used them just a few months ago – they only knocked off $180 which still means the total cost will be almost £4200 or £600 more than it cost to bring it here!

Does it cost more to take things to the UK as appose to taking it to Oz?

Yes of course, you're in Australia and most things are a rip off.

However I'm sure somone will come along and try and justify the excessive price here on exchange rate, or supply and demand, or superior Australian service...FFS

Wouldn't it be better to move this thread there as there will be (hopefully) more advice offered than in the Oz forum?

Hello

We just had out Allied Pickfords, Kent, and Grace (and one other that I can't remember and they didn't even send the quote through anyway!).

Was difficult to decide but we are going with Kents. My sister used Chess I think a couple of years ago and I she said they were good (before she ping ponged right back again!).

We're in SH too - when are you moving? We're going in August.

Whoops I think I slipped up and sent you a quick reply with nothing on.

Many Thanks for moving my query. Hopefully I will receive some useful information.
