Proof of address
When I move back I will live with relatives so will not have any utility bills with my address. What other documents can be used for proof of address?

Re: Proof of address
Depends on what you need the POA for.

Re: Proof of address
To open a bank account, drivers license, whatever else requires the POA.

Changing my old UK paper driving licence to the 'new' photo licence was also easy and the new licence also had my rental address on it. I also joined the local library and with the ID from my bank statement and my photo licence obtained a bus pass. Within a couple of weeks of arriving back in UK, I had almost a full set of verifiable photo ID's. In my case I knew my National Insurance number and had previously held a UK drivers licence. Good luck. |

Council tax bill will go a long way in opening a bank account

Won't almost all people need to already have a bank account in order to do the things they need to do in order to get a council tax bill? |
Re: Proof of address
It was useful to me when I opened a bank account. There are other documents I suppose.

Re: Proof of address
If you are living with relatives the easiest way to get a bank account is go with them to the bank they use and apply for an account there. My Mum checked with her bank and they said that they will open an account for me as long as I have my drivers license, passport, proof of previous address in the US and my Mum to verify that I am living with her. If you are not living with relatives then the quickest and easiest proof of address is getting on the electoral record.
