I'd highly recommend "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace". It's really really funny.
My other favourites have been mentioned (Alan Partridge, Peep Show, The Inbetweeners).
How about Fawlty Towers? Dads Army?

Just a note. If any of you buy from Amazon UK, you can often find lots of films and series unavailable in the U.S.
The only drawback is you may have to watch them on your computer.
I just got the whole 7 series of Shameless for about $75.00 inc. $5 shipping. Amazon U.S. wanted about $80.00 for just the 1st series , the future series were not even available, I suspect there a number of similar deals out there, shipping does take a couple of weeks though.

Depends on what you're looking for in a film. For me it's simply seeing stuff like cars, street scenes, train, familiar stuff.
My selection would be:
Made in Britain
Boys in Blue (Canon and Ball film - bloody awful, but very British)
Get Carter (alright, a bit of a cliche now, but look at all the Britishness of it)
and the On The Buses films, which, apart from a few ropey scenes, aren't all that bad (apparently Mutiny on the Buses was the biggest grossing film in the UK in 1972!)

Re: Nostalgic Brit Movies
And Blu-Ray tends to be region free. I buy a lot of Blu-ray disks from Amazon UK because they are a fair bit cheaper than the US site when a sale is on.
As for very British movies, the original Italian Job always leaves my U.S. friends more than a little perplexed.
"You must have shot an awful lot of tigers, sir."
"Yes. I used a machine gun."
Classic.
