I think you're confusing Chad Kroeger with Billy Jewel-Osco.
Easy mistake to make.

Not Sam Walton? The rest of the family never ever said goodnight to him, poor kid.

Well, looks like he's having the laugh now, but I don't see how this is helping us find Jesus or the eggs.

Aye, all the info has already been posted, nothing new added...perhaps picking on a couple was out of hand, but to be fair, they do have it pretty good here compared to many, can't knock them for it, but it does give a different view to things that many of us here have of our surroundings, which is another good thing.

I was going to make a post conmparing the situation of maybe them or me (green card sorted through the lottery before I got here and job lined up too) with someone like you (visa through marriage to a USC and all the resultant hassles, job-hunting nightmare), but I didn't want to tread on your toes sir  ;)

All I can say is that I've had it realitively easy judging by a lot of stories on here, and I've found that hard enough.

Sorry if you think I'm picking on you :p

shit Bob I know you dont have kids but you know the shit we went through last year with our teenager, that and my dads death blah blah blah ..... money has nothing to do with our happiness here, (we had money in the UK) we have had the same issues as every other Expat. We are happy here because we have taken the time to adapt and picked a good location. I really find hard to believe we are considered by other posters to be these kind of loaded, cut throat Expats .. thats just not who we are
