Neither blue, not grey. Not from you anyway...
But it's the thought that counts. You can always vote the right way on the Opera Poll

It is an enormous culture shock. Suggest you read back through the threads for about a month or so, that should give you a reasonable insight to how Brits really feel about everyday life here.

Well it was only because he kept goingon about how the British Government won't pay for his mortage...

Wouldn't you say, though, that Ray might not be able to offer some useful advice?
Where is Ray anyway? Someone get him out of the pool!

Well, there's Woodsey and Eskimo... But they're on L1 transfer + GC sponsorship + 6-figure salary. Hardly typical...

Ah another problem that befalls us expats. The one foot in each country, belonging to none syndrome.
Problem is that everthing and everbody in the UK has moved on and I have moved on with my life in the US for the past 10 yrs. So I don't know if I could settle back there, I just don't know.
We think that when my hubby retires we will have to go back as it is too expensive to live here. OK if you have a job, money, health care, good health, but once you start to need regular mediciations or have a major health problem that's when the sh*t hits the fan.
