As with many people I'm very interested in moving over to the US. Right now it looks nigh on impossible, however, many of you have managed to do it, so it must be achievable.
In terms of career and education, currently involved with Marketing/Sales of IT products, approx 10 years experience in business since Uni.
From my research, the only method I can realistically see an an option is for a US employer to employ me.....so advice from any of you out there that have went down this road is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave

If you go the the ER here the first thing they ask for is how are you paying. Prescription medications are extremely expensive. Even with expensive healthcare insurance you usually have a co-pay for each visit.
I think I am correct in saying that in most states if you fall behind with one mortgage payment your property can be foreclosed.

If you really think that welfare benefits in the US are better than in Blighty, there is no helping you.
Does fire-at-will mean anything to you?

How long you been in the US for then?
I missed my life, the day to day everyday things that I had been used to all my life. Pure and simple as that.
To answer your other question I have been here for 10yrs.

Here is a good article I came across recently,
37 million poor hidden in the land of plenty
N.B. Republicans should not read this article as you will enter instant denial mode.
